The media definitely oversteps its boundaries VERY often. I agree. Unfortunately, that is a direct reflection of what readers want to see. The media doesn't respond to events. They respond to ratings. As long as sales reflect that this is the type of thing readers/viewers want, they will keep digging their heels in and going full speed ahead.

I've heard a lot of people say 'he's a public figure' but I think people should realize that no one has *stock* in his personal life. They have endorsed his profession - his brand - his name as a golfer. No company put their advertising dollars into his worth as a husband. The media should find something else to do with their time than try to destroy this man's marriage. This very well may be what it took to shake up Tiger & Elin to evaluate what's going on in their family and get them back on track. I hope they make it work...

Funny enough, I wrote about this very topic this past Friday in a random ramblings post.
I feel like it's really none of our business what happened. This is a private matter b/w him and his family. While I like the world of entertainment as much as the next person, I feel that media often over step their boundaries. And this is one of those times.

Yea...I really don't care to hear all this garbage about Tiger Woods regardless of what color they all are. It's sad for his wife and children...and those women should be embarrassed to go on national television and admit to it and blab about it...of course, if they were quality women they wouldn't have done it in the first place.
Personally, I change the channell if it comes on. Although I agree that this should be private and personal, he is a public figure. There are people and companies who have put their time and money into him and helped make him who he is. I do believe it's time to stop talking about it so as to not hurt the rest of his family anymore...let them get on with dealing with it and doing whatever they're going to do and leave it alone.
